Quémame los ojos is an atlas-like publication in the vein of Gerhard Richter, Oriol Vilapuig, Marlène Dumas or Arthur Jafa. A publication gathering and organizing 236 images of my downloads folder.

Coming from science, art history and social media, these images and text-based images conform a repository of references for my own image-making, but also an imaginarium or an atlas; a device to generate and make meaning collide and expand: a device geared toward thinking.

The publication ends with a sequence of 28 texts based on 28 of these images, thus exploring the relationship between images and text, but also the idea of text as generator of images and of image in itself.

Hello! My name is David Molina Gadea, i’m a graphic designer with a focus in book design. My work springs from a deep interest in the history of art and the relationship between images and text. I am also an enthusiast photographer and the artistic director of LA NUU, international photography festival of Rubí, Barcelona.
